The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC)

The London Legacy Development Corporation is responsible for the growth and development of this dynamic part of east London

The LLDC is a public sector, not-for-profit organisation responsible for the long-term planning, development, management and maintenance of the Olympic Park and its facilities after the London 2012 Games.

One of the LLDC's roles is to act as the planning authority for the Olympic Park and surrounding areas.

It was set up to ensure that the legacy of the Olympics and the investment in the area continues so that London and local people can see and feel the benefit.

The LLDC is focused on creating opportunities for local people as well as driving innovation and growth in key industries. Its goal is to transform the area into a vibrant mixed-use community with improved transport links.

Fish Island and Hackney Wick both fall in the area for which the LLDC is responsible.  As part of its plans, the LLDC aims to keep affordable studio space for artists rather than displace them elsewhere.
