Jake McCreedy Evans from our Hackney office is undertaking a monumental bike ride from Lands’ end to John O’Groats, starting on the 28th of August,   to raise money for the cancer care charity Marie Curie.

The 1000 mile ride will take about ten days, across some of Britain’s toughest terrain, in which Jake will be averaging a gruelling 100 miles a day.

He will certainly have his work cut out!

Marie Curie have hospices across the UK which have teams of nurses providing care and invaluable support for terminally ill patients and their families.

Even a small donation can help make a big difference to Marie Curie’s work:

• £20 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse for one hour in a patient’s home

• £180 pays for a full nine-hour shift for a Marie Curie Nurse in a patient’s home

• £235 pays for one day’s attendance at a Day Therapy unit at a Marie Curie Hospice

• £515 pays for the cost of caring for an in-patient in a Marie Curie Hospice for one day

Good luck Jake!
