On the 18 March the Key4Life Charity Auction raised an amazing £83,000, at the exclusive event held at the Porchester Hotel in Bayswater.

Key4Life was set up by Eva Hamilton in late 2012. The mission of Key4Life is to reduce the rate of youth re-offending through delivery of an innovative rehabilitation programme to those in prison and those at risk of going to prison.

So far the success rate of the programme has been outstanding and there are plans in progress to expand the programme to more prisons across the UK.

Over 300 guests were in attendance, including various business leaders from the City such as the CEO of Willis, John Cavanagh, and David Sharpe of Universal Music.

Chris Currell acted as auctioneer on the night, encouraging the crowd to bid on nine fantastic lots. These included one weeks’ holiday in a luxury chalet, tickets to see Paul McCartney at the O2 and a luxury trip to a palace in Rome for six people.

The guests did not disappoint during the auction. This meant that the huge total of £83,000 was almost double the estimated guide price.

After the auction, guests were treated to a short film about the work of Key4Life and a special performance by Brit Award-winning singer Emeli Sandé

The enormous amount of money raised on the night was a fantastic result for Key4Life and will allow the programme to help more young men turn their lives around.
