Short Lets

Short lets in London have always been popular with both the corporate and private rental market as they provide a hassle free, short term accommodation solution far more favourable than the traditional serviced apartment or hotel.

Many tenants enjoy a ‘home from home’ solution due to having their own cooking and laundry facilities and this proves especially cost effective for companies who may be relocation an employee for a number of months to the capital.

The typical applicants we work with tend to be corporate relocations, holiday lets or people looking for temporary accommodation whilst works are being carried out on their own home.

Presentation of Short Lets:

  • Fully furnished properties (cutlery, crockery, bed linens, towels and essential furniture items) ready for someone to move into with a suitcase and have everything they need to live.
  • Properties will ideally have an internet connection.
  • Let between 4 weeks (as minimum term) up to 6 months.
  • Tenants will pay the rent for the full term upfront at the start of the tenancy, along with a deposit.
  • Your property can still be viewed for the next let whilst the short let tenant is in situ- minimizing a void period.
  • Will include all utility bills- except telephone charges.
  • Tenants will pay a premium for a short let to include all bills but will see that this is still much better value than hotels/serviced apartments.

We find many landlords are keen to market for both long let and short let to see what comes first. A short let tenant paying a premium rent upfront for 3 months (an average short let term time) can be mutually beneficial for both Landlord and Tenant.
